Eggstraordinary season ahead
Read all the latest news going on and around the club!
As chocolate eggs are on the tip of everyone's tongue we march on towards the season. A safe and rewired clubhouse now needs that little touch of love from its members. With paintbrushes at the ready, the work weekend is almost upon us. Your support on the list of pre season jobs at the ground is a must to make the best start for all of us at HBBHCC!
So please come up to the ground on the 6th & 7th April to offer your hand - there is a job for everyone!
Last Thursday saw the last of the senior net sessions which were really well attended across the 8 weeks, putting many of us in good stead for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the coming weeks and months.
The junior net sessions will conclude on the 6th April and we have seen a fantastic turnout, so thanks goes to all the parents for ferrying our little darlings and the coaches for bringing order to an incredibly enthusiastic bunch of budding young cricketers.
Outside training
You’ll remember warm and sunny days of the past, we train outside and on the ground. Now we plan to start this in April with the U15s on Monday 15th and the rest on Wednesday 17th. Clearly this is weather dependent - but let's hope things begin to dry up a little.
Final few days…
With some amazing recent donations from the village, received with huge thanks, our crowdfunding target has been smashed and a new stretch target instilled. With just a few days left any final support is gratefully received. This has been an amazing show of gratitude and really helps the club to start the year in a great position. Thank you!
Sponsor update
We are very pleased to announce that the main club sponsor for the next three years is Kingfisher.
We thank Kingfisher for their support to the club and we look forward to working with them over the coming years. The senior shirts will be proudly branded with the Kingfisher logo as shown above.
ACTION: Senior players - please complete the form here to get your senior shirt ordered, the cost of which will be included as part of your annual subscription.
Details on the Annual Subscription will be with you shortly and as ever prompt payment will be gratefully received.
Don’t forget there are still plenty of other ways to support the club - download and read our sponsorship brochure here or reach out here.
Fit for New Kit
As mentioned last month the new club shop ‘VX3’ is very nearly live and will be found here: https://vx-3.com/collections/cricket-club-shops - Keep an eye on on socials and WhatsApp for the opening day - then go and take a look around and get yourself ready for the catwalk.
The new coloured junior shirts are included in the annual subscription and thank you to everyone who has provided the required size and paid.
Let’s Play Cricket
Want to know who is playing where and when - you can see all the fixtures for the season ahead here. The first games are planned for the 20/21st April so please don’t forget to download and sign up on the Spond app as this will be our core channel of availability and team selection across this season.
Girls and Women Cricket Festival
On Sunday 12th May we are holding a girls and women cricket festival at the club from 2pm. There will be coaching for all abilities from beginners to advanced involving basic skills, game based drills and above all lots of fun. The afternoon will conclude with some informal softball matches.
No equipment is necessary as the club will provide all of this. We welcome families to attend to enjoy the festivities with an opportunity to socialise at the bar too.

Let's put in the Ground Work!
Our hard working ground staff have been doing a great job amongst the many rain filled days, to get the pitch and outfield back to looking like a cricket field!
2 draw done - still time to get involved
The 100 Club is now in its second month and congratulations to the winners of the first two draws. There are still some numbers left, so if you fancy your chances get in touch!
Watch out on the WhatsApp groups and on our social feeds for the next lucky numbers to be pulled out. There are still some numbers left, so if you fancy your chances get in touch!
