Firstly, a big thank you to all you who have contributed towards the clubhouse rewiring crowdfunding, such great support makes a huge difference to the running of the club and us being able to provide a safe and futureproof environment for us all to enjoy across this and many seasons to come.

So far having raised just over £1000 which is 67% towards our target of £1500, please do keep sharing the message and support where you can. Don’t forget for every £10 donated you have a chance of winning one of the prizes from the raffle.

With special thanks to Tom Highsted for organising the contractors and sourcing the materials at a great price, we can look forward to seeing work commence around the middle of March so that we can start the season with the work completed.

Sponsor update

It is pleasing to bring you the news that our Junior Section has a wonderful new sponsor in BlueBells Catering & Tea Room. Found directly in the village en route to the ground, stop by and sample the fantastic array of goods on offer. More to come on this as we work on the branding for the new junior kit!

Great progress has also been made in terms of the main club sponsor and we will share news shortly on this.

We have also received a very generous donation from Tony Bull, which has been received with many thanks. Alongside this we have a new board sponsor and we would like to thank; Tom Dix, Your Independent Estate Agent.

Don’t forget there are still plenty of other ways to support the club - download and read our sponsorship brochure here.

Shop til you drop

We are pleased to announce a new kit supplier has been sourced in VX3, where you will be able to purchase all of your HBBHCC branded kit and training gear at great prices, which also directly benefits the club too. This is hot off the press and links to the shop will be available shortly.

Sharpen your pencils - it’s time for the first draw

There has been a good take up on the 100 Club with over 50 numbers sold. The first draw will take place this weekend so don’t delay in getting involved and get your numbers now. Keep an eye out on the website to see which lucky number takes the top prize!

A few ache and pains

We have now had 2 senior net sessions at the Maths School in Rochester and had a brilliant turnout and a few sore bodies the following morning. With all four lanes in full use it’s clear to see people are keen for that pre season preparation. Don’t forget, due to exams at the school, there is no session on the 22nd February, but we will be back into the swing of it on the 29th February.

Nets Practice

This will be closely followed by the Junior nets starting on the 2nd March at King’s School Rochester.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

On your marks…

As you know there is always work to be done at the ground and many hands make light work… so please add a date to your diary to lend support in getting the grounds and clubhouse season ready. The weekend of the 6th & 7th April is when work will commence and I’m positive the sun will be shining.

Socials…

I’m not talking about standing in the clubhouse with a cold beverage, but keeping engaged, sharing and liking the content on our social media channels. Instagram, X, Facebook

Last but not least

To recognise the amazing 30 years of service to the club as Chairman and now President we are renaming the bar in the clubhouse to the President’s Bar in honour of John Underwood. As new signage makes its way to us, be sure to put one ‘Under the Wood’ for him.
